Equipping the Equipper

Mission To West Africa (MTWA) 2024 is born out of the burden to put the gospel of the Kingdom center stage in Nigerian Christianity as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission in the continent of Africa and beyond. The gospel focuses on three 'Rs': Repentance, changing one's thinking and adopting a new mindset; Responsibility, recognizing man's responsibility to emulate Jesus and redeem the earth on God's behalf through discipleship; and Redemption, restoring the earth to God, since man's failure led to the withdrawal of God's glory in the Garden of Eden.

The Goals of MTWA 2024 include:

To highlight the global leadership role of the Nigerian Church
To put the Gospel of the Kingdom centre stage in Nigerian Christianity, and
To equip Nigerian Pastors and Christians to export the Gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth.

The Gospel of the Kingdom

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. - Matthew 24:14 (NKJV). The word ‘this’, pronoun, is used to identify a specific person or thing close at hand or being indicated or experienced. It also refers to a specific thing being mentioned. Jesus was referring to a specific gospel, the gospel of the kingdom. The word ‘gospel’ is only an adjective that qualifies the word ‘kingdom’. The emphasis is on the kingdom of God.
